Britain and Croatia have a reciprocal medical arrangement, so you shouldn't have to pay for any emergency treatment. My daughter hurt her toe and we visited the Pula Hospital A+E, just minutes from the centre. Our passports were checked at reception and within minutes a physician saw my daughter, and here foot bandaged. The service was excellent and we were given comprehensive advice on aftercare.
